Cambridge Trip 13th April 2026

Cambridge Adventure for Our Over60s Community

What a day out it was. With the weather firmly on our side, our over60s group set off for Cambridge in high spirits, and the fun began before we even arrived. The coach journey was filled with laughter, chatter, and the kind of joyful chaos that only a good day trip can bring.

No visit to Cambridge is complete without punting, and our group took to it like seasoned pros. Gliding along the River Cam, we passed under historic bridges and alongside world famous colleges.

A huge thank you to Saffron Kitchen for sponsoring our hot lunch. After a morning of sightseeing and river adventures, a hearty meal was exactly what we needed to refuel and recharge.

Our final stop was the breathtaking Cambridge Central Mosque, Europe’s first eco-mosque. With its stunning timber “forest” columns, peaceful gardens, and commitment to sustainability, it left everyone inspired.
