Durning Hall Location:
Supporting Humanity, Durning Hall Community Centre, Earlham Grove, Forest Gate, London E7 9AB
Durning Hall is a significant community centre in Forest Gate that has served as a social hub for over 60 years. Built in 1959 on a former cinema site damaged in WWII, this modest post-war building continues a 140-year legacy of East London charitable work and community service. It symbolises both the area’s post-war recovery and current challenges facing community spaces in London.
Now this historic venue will serve as the main base for Supporting Humanity charity.
