Supporting Humanity Honoured with BBC Make a Difference Award
We are proud to share that Supporting Humanity has been recognised with a BBC Make a Difference Award. Our founder, Idris Patel, received the Fundraiser Award after leading a one-day event that raised over £214,000 for humanitarian relief in Sudan and Palestine.

What began during the pandemic as a response to the NHS’s call for help with burials and hot meals for frontline staff has grown into a charity delivering mental health support, bereavement counselling, and wellbeing services across seven east and north-east London boroughs.

This award is a tribute to every volunteer and supporter who makes our work possible. As Idris reflected: “The confidence and the trust that people put in us is overwhelming.”one-day event that raised over £214,000 for humanitarian relief in Sudan and Palestine.
